Mehndi

Mehndi  is the traditional art of painting the body with natural henna, a temporary “bio-tattoo” popular in India, Arab countries, and Africa that does not damage the skin and lasts for several weeks. Designs are applied by hand with henna paste, creating intricate ornaments or symbolic images that serve protective and ritualistic functions, especially at weddings and festivals, and also have healing properties.

  • Painlessness: The application process does not require needles and is painless, unlike real tattoos.
  • Symbolism: The designs have deep meaning, symbolizing happiness, well-being, love, and protection from evil.
